Entry Criteria
GCSE English (A*-D/9-3) or equivalent qualification, such as Functional Skills Level 1 or above.
Our part-time provision is designed primarily for adult students, aged 19 and over. Students aged 16 to 18 may be allowed to enrol on the course at the discretion of the Head of Admissions and Head of School. If you have any queries please contact our admissions team on 01923 812345. -
What will I study?
The Award supports those involved with:
The implementation of the current autism, dementia and end of life strategies for people with learning disabilities The learning disability services Working with individuals with learning disability who wish to undertake a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) qualification Community and volunteering roles who work alongside or support people with a learning disability
You will be studying the following units:
Introductory awareness of sensory loss Understand the context of supporting individuals with learning disabilities Understand Physical Disability Introductory awareness of Autistic Spectrum Conditions Introductory awareness of models of disability
