Get ready for the working world with City and Guilds Entry 3 qualification. This course will provide complete beginners with an introduction to computing skills. This course will enable students with gaining the key skills employers are looking for and help with their job search.

Entry Criteria
There are no formal entry criteria, it would be preferable to have completed Essential Computing for Beginners; This course is ideal for beginners who want to learn how to use a computer and improve confidence skills.
Suitable for individuals in receipt of JSA, Income Support or other benefits, and wanting to return to work. Please contact your JCP advisor if you wish to go on this course.

What will I study?
On this course you will learn a variety of computing skills including:
Computer Basics

Log onto a printer and print

Create folders

Be aware of computer safety
Word

Enter text, edit text

Change margins

Format documents

Save documents
Excel

Enter and edit text and numbers

Format text

Use formula and function to total figures

Replicate a formula

Produce a chart using data from spreadsheet

Insert a chart title

Add axis titles, add/remove legend

Courses will be run at either Kings Court, Suite 3, 154-155 High Street, Watford WD17 2ER (opposite Cotswold Pyramid) or at West Herts College, Dacorum Campus.
