Entry Criteria
Applicants should be electrically qualified and working in the electrical installation industry with C&G 2360/2330/2365 at Level 2 or above. Candidates must also possess a valid 17th Edition Award in the wiring regulations.
Candidates are expected to be employed in the electrical installation industry for a minimum of 3 to 5 years.
Our part-time provision is designed primarily for adult students, aged 19 and over. Students aged 16 to 18 may be allowed to enrol on the course at the discretion of the Head of Admissions and Head of School. If you have any queries please contact our admissions team on 01923 812345. -

Over the programme you will cover the following areas:
- Introduction to the 18th Edition
- Protection against electric shock
- Overcurrent protection and discrimination
- Protection by isolation and switching
- Selection and erection of equipment
- Earthing arrangements
- Protective conductors
- Special installations
- Inspection and testing
- Periodic inspection, testing and maintenance

What can I do next?
Once students have successfully completed/updated their certification they will be able to continue on to the City & Guilds (2391) qualificaiton in Inspection & Testing.
