This is a one-day masterclass for sewers wishing to learn & develop further skills. Explore techniques to help you get more from your sewing machine. This course will equip you with new skills, enabling you to discover your sewing machines’ potential.

Entry Criteria
The course is suitable for anyone who previous experience using a sewing machine. This course is NOT suitable for beginners - you need to be able to use and thread a machine confidently.
You can use one of the college machines if you are unable to bring in your own machine. Please inform us when you enrol if you would like to do so.
Our part-time provision is designed primarily for adult students, aged 19 and over. Students aged 16 to 18 may be allowed to enrol on the course at the discretion of the Head of Admissions and Head of School. If you have any queries please contact our admissions team on 01923 812345. -
What will I study?
On this course you will learn:
- A variety of different tucks
- Different edging techniques
- Working with types of lace
- Using and understanding different machine feet
- Free motion sewing
Course content may vary dependent on the group and time restraints.

What can I do next?
Students may wish to further their skills by joining the dress making or sewing course. All of our part-time courses can be viewed online and new courses are introduced throughout the year.
