Level 4 CPCAB Diploma In Therapeutic Counselling (Integrative)

Introduction

This two year part-time qualification will give you the knowledge, skills and competencies to work as a therapeutic counsellor in an agency context.

At West Herts College our Diploma is based on an integrative model of counselling. Students with sufficient experience may be able to begin working as independent practitioners in a private practice, those without sufficient experience will need to progress to a Level 5 Diploma.

West Herts College is currently part of a pilot for this new BACP approved qualification. The course is substantially the same as the former Diploma course with the added benefits of closer links to BACP. Students will be required to be student members of BACP from the start of the course. Towards the end of the course students will take the Certificate of Proficiency test within college, so that as soon as they qualify they will be on the BACP register of counsellors.

All Level 4 applicants must complete the assignment task provided by admissions by Monday 7th June. Applicants that are successful at this stage will be invited in for an interview week beginning Monday 14th June.
