Entry Criteria
There are no formal entry qualifications however the following are recommended:
- A reasonable standard of English to ensure success at Level 2
- Aged 16 or over
- At least 6 months prior experience of working/volunteering in an EYFS childcare setting for at least 12 hours a week
- A confirmed work or voluntary placement in an EYFS childcare setting for at least 12 hours per week for the duration of the course
- A reference from your experience working with children
- A DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check

What will I study?
The aim of this qualification is to prepare learners to work with children between birth and five years, with knowledge of children up to seven years. You will study subjects like Child Development, Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety.
You will learn about the role of an Early Years Educator across modules such as:
- Support healthy lifestyles for children through exercise
- Support children with additional needs
- Support creative play
