Level 3 AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting
Introduction
Looking to study accounting but want to fit it around other commitments? This online and on campus course is perfect for those who require a blended learning approach, looking to progress their financial career with this next step in AAT qualifications. This Level 3 qualification requires you to attend college once a week - studying with likeminded classmates and expert tutors to back up your online learning, in practical study sessions.
During this course you will master more complex financial processing, including final accounts for sole traders and partnerships, report and returns and professional ethics. The course will develop the underpinning knowledge and skills required for a career in bookkeeping and accounting.

Entry Criteria
- Level 2 maths and English (A* to C grade GCSE or equivalent)
- AAT Level 2 Certificate with the maximum of 2 resits during level 2
- Good working knowledge of Excel
- If you are not one of our progressing students you will need to complete an initial assessment
This course is for students aged 19 or over, if you are under 19 you will be better suited to an apprenticeship programme. You may be entitled to apply for a 19+ Advanced Learning Loan to help pay for your studies. Call our admissions team on 01923 812345 for more information on fees.
You will need to register or renew with AAT directly as a student member. This is approximately £130 per annum.
Our part-time provision is designed primarily for adult students, aged 19 and over. Students aged 16 to 18 may be allowed to enrol on the course at the discretion of the Head of Admissions and Head of School. If you have any queries please contact our admissions team on 01923 812345. -
What will I study?
The AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting covers a range of complex accounting tasks, including maintaining cost accounting records and the preparation of reports and returns.
Employers also contribute to the development of AAT qualifications. A student who passes an AAT assessment is passing a test of real workplace skills, set in a real workplace scenario context, which has been reviewed by practitioners and industry experts.
It comprises of six mandatory units. Four units are assessed individually in end-of-unit assessments. This qualification also includes a synoptic assessment that students sit towards the end of the qualification, which draws on and assesses knowledge and understanding from across the qualification.
