Access to HE Diploma (Health Professions) (Q002504)
This Access course is a nationally recognised qualification designed for people who wish to study a health-related degree, such as Nursing, Midwifery or Paramedic Science, but lack the traditional qualifications required for direct entry into university study. This course is suitable for students aged 19 or above.

Entry Criteria
GCSE (9-4/A*-C) in English language or maths depending on your chosen pathway, plus a range of assessments at interview.
All students are assessed for their English and maths skills at interview. Some universities require a pass in GCSE Science - please ensure that you have checked the requirements for your chosen career path with your preferred higher education institution.
Our part-time provision is designed primarily for adult students, aged 19 and over. Students aged 16 to 18 may be allowed to enrol on the course at the discretion of the Head of Admissions and Head of School. If you have any queries please contact our admissions team on 01923 812345. -

Care principles Human anatomy and physiology Introduction to healthcare Professional interpersonal skills Safeguarding children, young people and/or vulnerable adults Depending on your chosen pathway you will study a number of optional modules related to your desired career path.

What can I do next?
Successful students who have achieved their Access qualification and relevant English and maths qualifications will be ready to progress to degree-level study on courses including; Nursing; Midwifery, Physiotherapy, Mental Health, Occupational Therapy and Paramedic Science.
