HNC/D Computing: Video Game Design and Production



Introduction

The HNC/D Computing: Video Game Design and Production provides a programme of study that covers the key knowledge, understanding and practical skills required in the video game and software development sectors. This course will take you on a journey of discovery, from brainstorming creative ideas, designing original concepts & content, through to game & app development, user acquisition, marketing, monetisation and payment as well as understanding online community engagement.

This bespoke HNC/D offers expert tutorial support, provided to help develop your educational and vocational abilities as well as the personal and professional qualities and attitudes required to adapt to the demands of the video game market. It will be an exciting challenge over the next two years, working individually and as part of a team to design, build, develop and publish video games on common platforms like Google Play, IOS, Windows, XBOX, Web, Steam, etc.

HNC/Ds provide nationally recognised qualifications that offer career progression, professional development, employment opportunities and further progression within Higher Education. The qualifications are made up of compulsory units and specialist units studied during the first year (HNC) and second year (HND).
