Breaking with tradition
Working in a male dominated industry may put many women off a career in
plumbing, but 25-year-old student PJ Vesey welcomes the challenge.
PJ has just completed her City & Guilds in Plumbing and now hopes to take
up the trade full-time.
But far from being the only female on the course PJ was joined by three
other women and even had a female tutor, proving that its not a mans
world after all!
PJ said: Ive always been used to working in a male dominated environment
so its good to work with some females for a change and show the men how
its done.
Im proud of how far Ive come at College. Im looking for an
apprenticeship now and hope to be a full-time plumber before long.
