We work closely with Connexions, mainstream and specialist schools providing a positive transition from school to college.

Which course is right for me?

Pre-entry Level

  1. Pre-entry level courses offer you an individually tailored programme designed to develop essential skills and to allow you to be as independent as realistically possible. Programmes incorporate work on communication skills, problem solving, working with and awareness of others, selfconfidence, community and domestic skills.

Entry Level

  1. 1, 2, 3 Entry Level qualifications build basic knowledge and skills and the ability to consolidate and apply learning in everyday situations under direct guidance or supervision. These courses prepare students for life and work and are aimed particularly at people who would benefit from a supported learning environment, tailored to their individual needs.

Entry Level 3 Vocational

  1. Entry Level 3 Vocational involves a choice of career-focused subjects and builds knowledge and skills supporting preparation towards specific occupations. Students work in small groups in a supported learning environment.

Level 1

  1. Level 1 qualifications build the foundation knowledge and skills and the ability to apply learning with guidance or supervision. Learning at this level is about activities, which relate mostly to everyday situations and may be linked to job competence and preparation towards vocational qualifications.

Level 2

  1. Level 2 qualifications are equivalent to GCSEs, from here students can continue with their education or go into work.

We have a variety of opportunities for students to experience what it's like to come to college and help in their transition from school to college education. We offer transition opportunities at pre-entry and entry levels 1 to 3. For advice and guidance on all our courses, please contact us on 01923 812345.
