Supported learning
Learning is an important skill. Everyone continues to learn throughout their
life. At West Herts College our supported learning courses aim to help you
develop individual study skills in a supported and stimulating environment,
enabling you to become more independent and take part in everyday activities.
Foundation Studies courses are for students with learning difficulties or
disabilities. You will work in small groups and support is tailored to suit
individual needs, both in and outside the classroom. The courses are specially
designed to enable you to get the best from all the support we offer through our
staff, technology, other resources and through peer groups.

I found my time on the Skills for Working Life course useful because it helped me find my way around the College. Helping another student use the computer boosted my confidence around others. It also helped me decide what I want to do next.
