In partnership with several secondary schools we can offer 14 to 16 year olds access to our wide range of courses. Whether you
have a specific career in mind or would like to try something new, we can
develop the skills you need to study further or find work.
Your options at 16
At West Herts College we want you to be ready for whatever life brings.
With the right skills and qualifications you’ll be off to a great start – ready
for the job or university course that’s right for you. There is a huge range of
courses for you to choose from and your study options fall into three main
- Vocational: courses for careers
- Apprenticeships: learn while you earn
Your options at 18+
It’s good to know that if you want to study for a degree you don’t need
to go far to go further. At West Herts College you get a great range of courses,
a wealth of teaching experience, wonderful facilities and connections with
employers and industry. Our Foundation degrees are validated by the University
of Hertfordshire and our professional qualifications are designed to challenge
you and boost your career prospects.
If you are returning to education after a break or if you don't have formal
qualifications you can join our Access to Higher Education programmes. These
courses are specifically designed to give you the skills and confidence you need
to succeed in Higher Education and further career progression.
If you have ever wanted to change careers, gain new skills for business or
learn a new hobby, then our extensive range of part-time courses can help you
find exactly what you’re looking for. You can choose from a range of
professional qualifications, aimed at boosting your career prospects, learn a
new trade or skill or take a leisure interest to a new level.
