Lights, camera, action
Going out to work is one long holiday for recent graduate Amy Slade.
Soon after completing her degree in Media Production at West Herts
College, Amy was snapped up by Haven Holiday Videos and now regularly finds
herself on location at seaside resorts all over the UK.
Amy said: College gave me the chance to use great cameras, film and edit
my own productions, write scripts and really analyse how film works.
My showreel of college work shows that I have had real hands on
experience in many aspects of filming.
That experience involved working on the set of drama productions such as
Holby City, visiting the film set of blockbuster film Hot Fuzz and
working on the post production of The Da Vinci Code.
Amy said: When this job came up I jumped at it as it's a difficult
industry to get in to, said Amy. It's local to me and I get to go to the
seaside a lot, which is great fun.
I get to be an extra in the videos a lot doing lots of holiday
activities like go-karting, swimming, tennis. It's a lot of fun.
